Anita Barone
Anita Barone, a stage actress who has a broad range of talents, who's mostly related to sitcoms on TV and got the most coveted opportunity to shine as Jeff Foxworthy's wife in ABC's "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired for one season between 1995 and 1996. Barone's debut on stage was at the age of five, in Detroit which was where her family relocated after having moved away from St Louis. At age 23, Barone had already appeared in over 50 productions. The majority of these were on stage in university and regional theaters. Her stage credits include Juliet in "Romeo as well as Juliet," Helen Keller in the production from "Monday Following the Miracle" as well as the lead performance of Agnes, the young tormented nun in "Agnes of God." Her screen debut was a part-time role in "The Roseary Murders" and a brief appearance in "Ricochet", and her role as the main character in an indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" which premiered in 1996. Barone was the first to get a notable Hollywood film role in the form of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-91) The ill-fated effort by Carol Burnett in trying to revitalize the comedy sketch program. Barone made an appearance on screen in "Wounded Heart" which was a 1995 USA Network film. Her return to sitcoms on the weekly air, co-starring in "Daddio", NBC 2000, with Michael Chiklis.
